To all WKC member federations
Dear Mr. President, Ladies and Gentlemen,
On behalf of the WKC Executive Committee and the Serbian Karate Union I would like to welcome you to the 5th WKC World Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia & Montenegro which will take place on the 8th and 9th October 2005.
Due to unforeseen obstacles for the vast majority of our member federations we had to choose another date and place for the 5th WKC World Championships. We have the energy, will and skills to conquer any obstacles thanks to your precious support and understanding of the situation and your concern for the future of our athletes and our confederation. Within the last four weeks several new federations have joined the WKC.
The best demonstration of our unity, friendship and strength will be the 5th World Championships in Novi Sad.
This city was chosen out of several other candidate cities. You will remember the excellent organisation of the 3rd World Cup for Children & Juniors which was held at the same place in 2002. There is a superb arena at the sport centre with space for 12 tatamis and seating capacity for 8.000 spectators, which allows us to hold the championships in two competition days. This also should help the participating federations to reduce their expenses.
I am sure you all will enjoy the outstanding hospitality of the city which is called the "Balkan Paris" on the river Danube only one hour away from the capital Belgrade.
We are going to have the best WKC Championships ever! Our athletes and all members of the WKC family deserve it. They have been preparing for the event for over two years. Let us work together in the spirit of karate-do.

The 5th World WKC Senior's Championships is available through the council of the autonomous province of Vojvodina and the city council of Novi Sad with Serbian Karate Union.
